The exhibition opens on July, 20th, 2012, at The Morgan Library & Museum, New York, and has already been presented at Staatliche Graphische Sammlung M nchen, Josef Albers Museum Quadrat Bottrop, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humleb k, Kunstmuseum Basel, Mus e National d Art Moderne, Centre Pompidou, Paris, and CAM Funda o Calouste Gulbenkian, Lisbon. The app is based upon the exhibition catalogue published by Hatje Cantz and presents a wealth of colored works on paper by Bauhaus master Josef Albers, many entirely unknown and documented here. The rich and vibrant works display a sensuous fascination for the phenomenality of color. High-quality zooming capability, photographs, audio and video files, along with essays by recognized Albers experts provide a multimedia approach to the exhibition.
